About
Who We Are
Word Wise Woman is a Christian community of women who inspire, encourage and empower each other to engage in an intimate relationship with God through online Bible studies, devotions and teaching videos. We believe that discipleship helps us to live in authentic community with others and encourages intimacy in our personal relationship with Christ.
We are Word wise not worldly wise. As women marked by wisdom, we have deep understanding, keen discernment and sound judgement. Word Wise Woman exists to equip you with the resources to apply the Word of God practically to every area of your life because we believe that it has the power to be effective no matter where you are on your spiritual journey with Christ.

My Story
I was raised in a Christian home and water baptized at age 18. I knew from a young age that God’s favor was on my life. However, there was no fruit of my repentance after my baptism and for years, I never had an intimate relationship with God. I prayed occasionally, read the Bible sporadically and attended church spontaneously. Until one day on the floor of my guest bedroom in 2013, when a crisis brought me to my knees. I began to draw near to God and He drew near to me, I read the word and applied it practically to every area of my life and I grew in intimacy with God. My life has not been the same since.
I’ve had many valley moments and a few mountain tops. I’ve been through the darkest of times and deepest of moments. There were times in my past, I battled depression so deep, I despaired for life but God has been a constant comfort. It’s in these moments that I confidently approach God and experience the power of His grace and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to overcome.
I have not experienced anything that is not common to all of us, that is why I created this community of women. I was able to make it through many of my valley moments because of strong, godly women who pray with and for me and are a source of encouragement. I’ve come to know and appreciate the importance of authentic community.
My hope is that Word Wise Woman will be a well in the desert and a source of healing. God did not intend for us to be isolated. We must disciple and be discipled, be a source of comfort to those around us, use our gifts to the glory of God and impact lives in our spheres of influence.
Love,
Janice
